Go to Top B-Movie Cringefest

AFN|movie’s Halloween B Movie Cringefest is a watch at your own risk collection of the campiest TV movies featuring monsters, aliens and freaks of nature from the last couple of years. AFN does not take any responsibility for any unwanted side effects.
Friday, October 31st, at Noon on Halloween day through 8:00am the next morning.

Abominable Snowman, 12:00pm
Originally titled “Deadly Decent,” this movie contains very little backstory, and even less plot as a group of professional snowboarders and skiers take to the mountains to look for a couple of missing friends. Soon they run into a hairy problem. Stars Chick Campbell, Adrian Paul and Lauren O’Neil.

Stonados, 1:30pm
When a tornado appears in the waters south of Boston, a former storm chaser realizes this is no ordinary thing. As the storms threaten to move inland, the citizens of Boston find themselves pummeled by lots and lots of fake Styrofoam stage rocks. Stars Paul Johansson, Sebastian Spence and Miranda Frigon.

Bigfoot, 3:00pm
Bigfoot is usually portrayed as a meek and elusive forest creature. But here is one that goes outrageously bonkers. This fake CG monster looks like a spawn from hell, as it goes on a rampage against humanity. With a cast that is more fitting a 1970’s pop culture “Teen Scene” magazine cover, old teen icons Danny Bonaduce and Barry Williams face off in the hunt for the very angry and confused creature. Also stars Bruce Davison.

Bermuda Tentacles, 4:30pm
Air Force One goes down in a storm over the Bermuda Triangle along with an escape pod holding the president. Since the Air Force messed up, it’s up to The Navy to save the day. Only problem there’s a giant monster with huge tentacles in the way… as in super giant squid. Stars Linda Hamilton, Trevor Donovan and John Savage.

Sharknado 2: The Second One, 7:00pm
Described as THE mega viral hit with over a billion (yes, that’s a b!) social media impressions, and a favorite of slackers and people who generally have terrible taste everywhere. This movie has tons of cheapish CG sharks inside freak tornados in New York City. Stars Ian Zeiring, Tara Reid and Vivica A. Fox.

Frankenstein, 8:30pm
Digging deep into the movie database barrel, we bring you this “Old-Timey” classic… yes, it’s the black & white talkie, from the days when the monster’s head was still flat. This is the first one that was made, so it’s like a film school classic, right? Sorry, we feel apologies are still due to Mary Shelley. Stars Boris Karloff.

Boogeyman, 10:00pm
Tim is a far from normal 20-something guy who has a serious hang-up with the Boogeyman. The monster lives in his memory as the creature that took away his father 16 years earlier. He sleeps with a night light. Stars Barry Watson, Emily Deschanel and Lucy Lawless.

The Day the Earth Stood Still, 11:30pm
This remake of the 1951 classic sci-fi film is played by a dead-pan Keanu Reeves as “Klaatu” the space alien. You may notice that the giant robot “Gort” has better emotional reach. Also stars Jennifer Connolly and Kathy Bates.

Big Ass Spider, 1:30am
Alex, from a product placed Exterminator Company goes head to head with a giant alien spider infestation originating from a compromised military lab. BTW, what is the darn deal with secret military labs and Hollywood? Stars Lin Shaye, Greg Grunberg and Ray Wise.

The Dead Zone, 3:00am
A man can see everything you have done, and will do, by touching you. One day he decides to shake a shady senator’s hand. Bad call. Stars Christopher Walken, Brooke Adams and Tom Skeritt.

Arachnoquake, 5:00am
New Orleans gets some potential additional gumbo ingredients as an earthquake triggers a giant spider attack on the city. Stars Megan Adelle and Gralen Bryant Banks.

Sharknado, 6:30am
The internet viral hit movie that started it all, and a favorite of adults that still mooch off their parents. Basically, the Sushi is cut with chainsaws, and served so raw it can still eat you. Stars Ian Zeiring, Tara Reid and John Heard.
