#TheBigDeal — October 2016

October marks the end of the MLB season with the playoffs and World Series, both which will be brought to you in their entirety – with every game aired live, with some replays. All World Series games will be live on AFN|sports HD starting October 25th.

October will also usher in the start of the NHL season on October 12th and the NBA season on October 25th.

AFN Halloween 2016

AFN will top-off the month on Halloween day will with some eye-candy to accompany your sweet tooth. AFN|movie will air a paranormal/horror marathon starting at 10am CET/JKT on October 31st running into the early morning.

AFN|spectrum LateNight 12:30am (CET/JKT) Saturday, October 15th
InsecureThis half-hour comedy series starring Issa Rae, Yvonne Orji, Jay Ellis and Lisa Joyce, looks at a black female friendship, and the hilarious tribulations of two embarrassingly awkward friends. Issa has a hard time fitting in and feels out of place, familiar to any geeky girl who doesn’t quite fit into her own community, but also doesn’t fit-in among white folk. Yvonne Orji plays her best friend Molly, who is better at navigating both worlds, but has baggage of her own.

Scorpion (season 3)
Premieres on AFN|prime at 7:00pm (CET/JKT) Tuesday, October 4th

Season 3 will pick up moments after the season 2 finale. Walter (Elyes Gabel) will be driving as fast as he can to Lake Tahoe to confess his feelings to Paige (Katharine McPhee). But team Scorpion must put aside their personal and romantic predicaments when anonymous hackers with unknown motives take control of U.S. military aircraft and warships and point weapons at American cities. The team will need to come together and act fast…

Arrow (season 5)
Premieres on AFN|spectrum at 8:00pm (CET/JKT) Sunday, October 9th

Oliver Queen’s five year journey has almost come full circle from where he began – the flashbacks are close to running their course. Still an awful lot needs to happen to close the circle. This season there will be a return to the real criminal underworld of Star City – such as Bratva, Triad, Los Halcones, and the Bertinelli family.

Supernatural (season 12)
Premieres on AFN|prime Pacific at 7:00pm (CET/JKT) Saturday, October 15th

It would not be the same show if one brother wasn’t going after another one to save his life. Even when there seems to be an obvious pattern, the show still manages to surprise. Actor Rick Springfield will be playing Lucifer who will have a recurring role this season, along with the return of the boys mom, Mary Winchester, played by Samantha Smith.

Supergirl (season 2)
Premieres on AFN|spectrum at 7:00pm (CET/JKT) Sunday, October 16th

The big news this season is the Superman will be visiting National City causing some tension in Kara and Alex’s relationship. Kara and Clark will share their feelings of loneliness of being different than humans, and connecting when they are together. Superman will also give Kara some life lessons on managing her role as protector of National City and as an employee at CatCo Worldwide Media.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (season 2)
Premieres on AFN|spectrum at 10:00pm (CET/JKT) Sunday, October 16th

The ensemble cast of Legends Of Tomorrow can grow or change using the vast library of DC characters, as well as the freedom to incorporate original characters without any problem. Two new characters will be introduced this season, and they will come from a different periods in history. Both characters will have some unsettled issues that time travel could resolve.
