February is Black History Month, and AFN will offer several premieres for the commemoration. Be on the look-out on myafn.net for Friday night movies and late special additions to honor the Month.

Super Bowl LIYet another football season is coming to an exciting finish, and Super Bowl LI will see the New England Patriots face off with the Atlanta Falcons. AFN will bring you all the thrilling action, including pre and postgame events, and the anticipated halftime show performance starring Lady Gaga. AFN will be live tweeting during the game using #SB51AFN, and posting the best messages on-air. So come up with your most creative tweets in support of your team, and we will share it during the game. Pre-game programs will start 15 hours before the game, with the kickoff on Monday, February 6th on AFN|sports: 12:30am CET, 2:30am AST, 4am AFG and 8:30am JKT.

The OscarsJimmy Kimmel will host the 89th Oscars® LIVE OSCAR SUNDAY. This will be the first time he has hosted the Awards, though audiences have enjoyed his annual Jimmy Kimmel Live: After the Oscars specials for years. Kimmel confirmed the rumor that he would be the Oscars 2017 host when he tweeted out that “this is not a prank”.

24: Legacy (new)

24: LegacyThe clock will reset with 24:Legacy, the next evolution of the Emmy Award-winning “24.” This evolution of the show starts with an elite squad of U.S. Army Rangers, led by Sergeant Eric Carter (played by Corey Hawkins) who killed terrorist leader Sheik Ibrahim Bin-Khalid. In the aftermath, Bin-Khalid’s followers declared a fatwah against Carter, his squad and their families, forcing them into federal witness protection. But an attempt on Carter’s life makes it clear to him that his team is now exposed. Series premiere immediately following the Super Bowl on AFN|sports, and repeated at 9pm CET/JKT on AFN|prime Monday. Episode 2 will be at the regular time on Tuesday at 9pm.
